1. Introduction

One Million Paws ("we", "us") operates the Paw Globes platform, including onemillionpaws.com and every tenant globe created on it. This policy applies to all data collected through the Service, regardless of which globe you interact with.

2. Data we collect

Account data: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up as an Owner.

Transaction data: billing name, billing country, payment method details (processed by Stripe, never stored by us in raw form), and purchase history.

Content data: pet photos, pet names, captions and any other Content you upload to a slot.

Usage data: pages viewed, globe interactions, device and browser information, and approximate location inferred from IP address, collected for analytics and abuse prevention.

3. How we use data

We use personal data to operate the Service: creating and rendering globes, processing slot purchases, sending transactional emails (receipts, moderation updates, payout confirmations), moderating Content, preventing fraud, and improving the Service's reliability and performance.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (creating your account, fulfilling a slot purchase), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, service improvement, analytics), consent (optional cookies and marketing communications), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Processors we use

We rely on the following infrastructure processors under data-processing agreements: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Stripe (payment processing, subscription billing and Stripe Connect payouts), Upstash (Redis caching and background job queues for occupancy and atlas rendering), and Vercel (application hosting and edge content delivery). Each processor is contractually bound to protect your data and to use it only to provide services to us.

6. Pet photos & content

Photos you upload for a slot are stored via Supabase Storage and remain private (pending) until the relevant globe Owner approves them, after which they become publicly visible on that globe. You may request removal of your Content by contacting the globe Owner or support@onemillionpaws.com.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. Where enabled, we may also use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage of the Service; these are only set with your consent where required by law. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax and dispute-resolution obligations. Slot and transaction records are retained as required by accounting and tax law. You may request deletion of your account data at any time, subject to these retention obligations.

9. Your GDPR rights

If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. 10. International transfers

Our processors may store or process data outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by our processors.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact support@onemillionpaws.com so we can remove it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice within the Service.
